Turning food waste into a scalable business

Charles-Louis Stinglhamber is co-founder and CEO of No Waste Republic, a Brussels-based producer of sustainable and locally produced breadcrumbs and panko made from surplus bread from industrial bakeries.

After working at AB InBev and earning a Master's degree in International Management from the IE Business School, he launched La Miche in 2019, a circular beer brewed with surplus bread. In 2022, he expanded his company and founded No Waste Republic. Today, No Waste Republic supplies the hospitality and industrial sectors with clean-label breadcrumbs with 60% lower CO2 emissions, produced in Brussels by a team comprising people who have completed vocational training.

Recognized as Good Food by Brussels Environment. Winner of the Trends Impact Award 2025 (Circular Economy, SME category).

"Every loaf of bread we process reduces waste and stimulates a sustainable, local economy."
