Yarne De Munck, Co-founder and CEO of Polysense

Polysense is a Ghent-based AI company that helps food producers improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize production through computer vision and process optimization. One year after the company raised USD 2.2 million in an initial investment round, a USD 10.7 million seed funding round followed in July 2026, led by the British firm Felix Capital, with investors including Fortino Capital and Syndicate One.

As CEO, Yarne leads Polysense's strategic growth and works closely with some of Europe's leading food producers, including Agristo, Darta, Poppies Bakeries, and many others. Under his leadership, Polysense has developed AI-driven solutions for quality inspection and process management that enable manufacturers to detect quality issues in real time, reduce reliance on operators, and make smarter production decisions. As the company's chief spokesperson, Yarne regularly shares insights on the practical application of AI in production and the future of autonomous food production.

With a background in computer science and electrical engineering, and as a former team captain of UGent Racing, Yarne combines in-depth technical expertise with a passion for building scalable technology companies.
